Winter Is Coming
Description
At the start of Robert's Rebellion, House Stark was one of the most powerful houses in the Seven Kingdoms. Their sigil was a grey direwolf on a field of white.
House Stark was ruled by Lord Rickard Stark, a proud and honorable man who was widely respected throughout the North. The Starks were the rulers of the vast and sparsely populated region known as the North, which was home to the ancient stronghold of Winterfell.
House Stark had a long and storied history, dating back to the Age of Heroes, when they were said to have been founded by Bran the Builder, who built the Wall to keep out the Others. Over the centuries, the Starks had played a key role in the politics of the Seven Kingdoms, often acting as the guardians of the North and protecting the realm from external threats.
At the start of Robert's Rebellion, House Stark was allied with House Baratheon, thanks to the marriage of Lord Rickard's daughter Lyanna to Robert Baratheon. However, this alliance would be tested when Lyanna was allegedly kidnapped by Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, which led to the outbreak of the rebellion.

Recent History
House Stark has a long and storied history that dates back to the Age of Heroes, when Bran the Builder is said to have founded the house and built the Wall to protect the realm from the Others.
Over the centuries, the Starks became the rulers of the North and played a crucial role in the politics of the Seven Kingdoms. They were known for their honor, loyalty, and adherence to their ancient traditions. Their ancestral stronghold was Winterfell, a massive castle located in the heart of the North.
One of the most famous members of House Stark was King Torrhen Stark, also known as "The King Who Knelt." Torrhen was the last King in the North, and he famously knelt before Aegon the Conqueror and swore fealty to the Iron Throne, in order to spare his people from the horrors of war.
In more recent history, House Stark was ruled by Lord Rickard Stark, the father of Eddard, Brandon, and Lyanna Stark. Rickard was known for his stern but fair rule and was widely respected throughout the North.
During the reign of King Aerys II Targaryen, tensions between House Stark and the Iron Throne began to mount, particularly after the execution of Lord Stark's father and brother by the Mad King.
