Konstantinos X of Byzantium

Following the loss of Belgrade to the Hungarians the previous year, the current emperor of the Byzantines appears to have suffered during his sort reign. He is now old and sickly and not well liked because of the multiple losses during his reign. Still, as he is the emperor, it is his duty to remain watchful. He eyes the Seljuk Turks to his East and the savage hordes to the North with equal distrust. As his death looms, he worries about the succession, but his will is like iron and he refuses to go down in history as an ill ruler.
