For many years, the decentralized state of affairs in the Winebay has served us well in the Republic of Wineport. The many Wine Barons that control our lands have always supplied and funded their own armies to deal with the occasional insurgency. Furthermore, we proved that our refusal to unite under one banner doesn't make us weak, when we united with our neighbors to survive and prosper during the Lilac wars. The stage has been set for another conflict between the Kingdoms of Lorent and Deranne, though, along with their extensive networks of alliances... and it's unlikely that we'll be able to avoid getting involved. We should act fast to secure our position diplomatically, and to build up a defense force to deter aggression from nearby threats!

The ambitious gaze of our Lorentish neighbors is sure to fall upon us and our lands as we work to strengthen our position and consolidate our power. We need to work preemptively to counteract this aggression. Seize the fertile coasts and farmlands of the Winebay through diplomacy and warfare, and use the vast expertise of our Wine Lords to turn these lands into production megacenters. Bring the nearby Temple of Minara under our banner, securing our divine right to bring the winemasters of West Cannor under our banner. Build unconquerable fortresses, or build a world-class army, and stand vigil over our nation as we ascend to greatness!
