Mace Tyrell is the Lord of Highgarden and the head of House Tyrell, one of the most powerful houses in the Seven Kingdoms. He is known for his wealth, his cunning, and his loyalty to the Targaryens. As the Hand of the King, he is one of Aerys II Targaryen's most trusted advisers and serves as the chief administrator of the realm.

At the start of the rebellion, Mace Tyrell is a powerful and influential figure in the realm. He has recently married his daughter, Margaery, to Prince Rhaegar Targaryen in a political alliance that has strengthened the ties between the Targaryens and the Tyrells. However, Mace is also acutely aware of the rising tensions between the Starks and the Targaryens, and he knows that war may be on the horizon.

RP-wise, Mace is a shrewd and calculating politician who values his family's position above all else. He is fiercely loyal to the Targaryens, but he is not blind to the realities of the situation. He will do whatever it takes to protect his family's interests, even if it means betraying his own king. At the same time, he is not one to take unnecessary risks, and he will only act if he believes that it is in his family's best interests.
