The setting for this scenario is the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, a fictional continent in the world of the Game of Thrones series. It is a time of great unrest and tension, as various noble houses vie for power and influence in the realm.

The events leading up to the rebellion began with the abduction of Lyanna Stark, the sister of Lord Eddard Stark of Winterfell, by Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, the heir to the Iron Throne. This act sparked outrage among many of the major houses of Westeros, who saw it as an affront to their honor and a violation of the laws and customs of the realm.

Robert Baratheon, a close friend of both Lyanna and Eddard, was particularly incensed by the abduction and vowed to rescue her. He began to raise an army, and was soon joined by his allies, including Jon Arryn of the Vale and Eddard Stark himself. The rebel forces began to march south towards King's Landing, the capital city of the Seven Kingdoms.

At the same time, tensions between the Targaryens and the other noble houses were reaching a boiling point. Many lords resented the Targaryens for their arrogance, cruelty, and perceived disregard for the laws and customs of the realm. The Targaryens had also faced a series of setbacks and scandals, including the so-called "Mad King" Aerys II Targaryen's descent into madness and the execution of Lord Rickard Stark and his son Brandon.

The game will of course in the beginning be centered around the civil war, but in the end there will be a winner.  After the fighting has stopped, there will be a new King upon the iron throne. Of course, for many, the goal will always be to see their dynasty placed upon it. But for those of more humble tastes, becoming lord paramount of a Kingdom is a prize more worthy and attainable. In this campaign, each of the 7 kingdoms will have players and plots of their own. The large scale politics of the 7 kingdoms providing a backdrop to the petty politics of lords striving for another drop of power and wealth.

Game of thrones is nothing but flavor and lore, providing something CK3 has been and perhaps always will be missing.
