The last hundred years have been terrible for us, the northern cities rebelled and broke of, Gawed conquered lands to the south and the elves of Celmador took our lands for themselves. Ours is a great history where the northern lands of the reach were entirely under our control. The Kings of Adshaw dominated the region fighting back the northmen, orcs, the reavers, and anyone else who would attempt to take out power. Our power was taken from us as those damned Elves in Celmaldor aided our vassal cities along the coast to rise up against us. With the help of the elves they succeeded and took most of our land. Our once noble family now finds itself holding only the greatwoods, which although beautiful are a small conciliation to our once sprawling kingdom. Even the ocean has been taken from us. We now have  again strong and wily rulers who will perhaps lead us to a new day.

There was a time we could solve our problems with violence and aggression, but those times are gone.  In our present circumstance we will need to be careful and wise to gain back anything, or risk losing it all. There are many circling vultures who would love to pick our bones clean.  Our heir is a man who has achieved great contacts throughout the world through contacts and spies, this is the future for us. Our ancestors would never have expected us to become like this but necessity breeds change. We will likely never compete with Vertesk or the like but regardless this is a tool we must use.

The Kingdom of Adshaw was once great. We have a duty to take it back regardless of cost and that cost will be high. We must build up our greatwood forts to defend our lands and a great army to push out and take the coastline. It should never be forgotten that the Elves caused this all, they must answer for this with blood
