Restore Our Glorious Heritage As Wyvern Riders
Armoc Vernid, the founder of our glorious Kingdom of Verne, was the first wyvern-rider. His skilled leadership and heroic acts in battle elevated our Kingdom to a position of irrefutable dominance in southern Cannor for several centuries. That was then, though... and our people have struggled and suffered greatly since then. The barbaric peoples of the Kingdom of Pearlsedge have always envied our success and prestige throughout the Empire... our desire to keep their rampant aggression in check is why we made the decision to involve ourselves in the Lilac Wars, and we never could have imagined that it would leave our proud Kingdom in ruins. Even worse, the powerful wyverns upon which our greatest kings used to ride have disappeared, and haven't been seen in significant time. The task of restoring our Kingdom to it's former glory won't be a simple, or a quick one... the people of Verne stand ready for the challenge, though!

Cement Your Naval Dominance
Our kingdom has a proud and storied history of naval excellence, owing both to the unique natural geography of Wyvern's Gulf, and to our people's natural desire to seek adventure and do heroic deeds. Our people have, for generations, used a successful trip around the treacherous, rocky coasts of Stingport that an aspiring captain has gained the skill needed to join our prestigious navy. This naval course would later become a sailing event known Empire-wide as the "Stingport Regatta". While the outcome of the Lilac wars was ultimately a disastrous one, the crushing defeat that we inflicted on the Busilari navy in the Battle of the Busliari Straits still serves as a reminder... no nation of men, elves or otherwise, will EVER stand toe-to-toe with us in a battle on the high seas.
Colonize The Uncharted Wilds
The call to adventure is a common feeling felt by young Vernmen, often to escape the hard life of manual labor that they're facing. This inclination towards heroism is why the prestige and reputation of Verne stands tall against the rest of the Empire. A notable example of this is the numerous adventuring companies originating from Verne, including the Brave Brothers, that set off into the dark forests of Escann to protect the Empire from the numerous threats lurking there. With the discovery of Aelantir, our nobility have expressed a strong desire for us to actively seek to harness the natural adventurousness of our youth even further. With the passing of the Frontier act, which grants the full protection of the crown to any newly colonized land, our people will begin to spread throughout the world, bringing the full weight of Vernman presige with them. As our famed adventuring companies begin to hear of these profitable colonization opportunities, it's possible these scattered colonization efforts will unite together into something much more formidable...
