The many skilled God is one of the great warriors of the Tuatha de Dannan. Skilled in all ways of combat, he excels with his sling, his blazing spear (which knows how to fight independently from the God without a wielder). He is widely loved by the Tuatha for his timely arrival on Tara to help them deal with the invasion of Ireland by Bres the Beautiful and his grandfather Balor of the Evil Eye. He is unlikely to lose any contest, willing to throw every ounce of his being into sustaining his image as being excellent at any and all skills.
When Lugh first came from the west of Ireland, he was mistaken for the rising sun, radiant and powerful. He has many powerful Relics at his disposal, mostly thanks to his foster-father Manannan mac Lir, who is a seemingly-endless supplier of such great objects. Lugh is also the father of the famous Irish Hero Cuchulain who, though young, single handedly slaughtered an army and had many adventures before being brought low by the fury of The Morrigan.
Lugh was slain by Mac Cuill son of Cermat, falling over the wave. Whatever that means, likely only Lugh, Manannan mac Lir, and Lir himself know. However, without their great warrior, and sometimes-king, the Tuatha wavered. Of all the slain Gods, Lugh is the most likely to return to the land of the living.
