The Goddess of Death and Winter is a terrifying Goddess, bringing forth the silent season every winter as she leaves the Underworld. She allows the land to ready itself for spring as she brings the winter, and for that is thanked, albeit with some hesitation for winter can spell doom for many, even those most prepared.

She once was a young and beautiful Goddess, swept off her feet by her half-brother, the God of Spring. But, he was not the most stable of Gods, and his mind was mucurial like the moon, and he soon was not as faithful to Morena as he should have been. Struck in a rage, she tore him apart, and fled into Veles realm, building a home from her beloved's body. In a twist horrible for all parties, every Spring he comes back to life, and they fall in love once again, and every Autumn he once again is unfaithful and tore apart. A cruel twist of Fate on the two sometimes-lovers.
