The King of the Sea, Poseidon is a figure of lust and anger. He raped his sister Demeter, Caenis from Thessaly, Medusa, and attempted to force himself on Amphitrite, though for his rank as one of the three kings of the Theoi, managing to avoid all true punishment for these acts. He vengefully strikes out against the Queen of Ethiopia for saying that she was more beautiful than his nymph daughters and his wife, and he systematically seeks to destroy Odysseus for first failing to sacrifice to him, and then blinding his son Polyphemus.

He creates earthquakes with his great trident, shaking the world, and had horses sacrificed to him in his early temples, for they were believed to be related to the sea. Poseidon holds the concept of his technical equality with Zeus closely, and when the King of the Gods attempts to prevent Poseidon from interfering in the Trojan War he was infuriated. Poseidon has, in the past, plotted against Zeus, and despite modern depictions suggesting Hades to be a trator in the ranks, if any of the two brothers held ill will to Zeus it would undoubtedly be Poseidon.

The Earthshaker

Poseidon's Earth Association is somewhat difficult to represent in Scion. Poseidon is totally and utterly only concerned with earthquakes, which makes much of the Earth Purview tricky to rationalize Poseidon using. To represent this, Poseidon likely has an exceptionally powerful Fate narrowing his Earth focus to just Earthquakes, and making him even more potent whenever he can use an earthquake-related expression of Earth.
