Queen of the Underworld, Ereshkigal rules over all those that have died, even the very few number of perished Gods save for few exceptions. She is a terror inspiring figure who keeps the dead sealed away under the earth, filling a key role in the functioning of the universe, and giving her great political power, for no others wish to take up her mantle if she were to be deposed, none wish to be stuck in the depths of slain Kur's realm.

Her current consort, Nergal, has kept her attention for the last few thousand years, and a lack of her sister to stir up trouble with the powerful Goddess, has left things relatively quiet in her lands. Save for the attention keeping.
