Almost appearing out of place among the Teotl, Xochiquetzal is a beautiful Goddess of love, joy, sex, and childbirth. She is free spirited and brings all beauty to earth, for without her nothing wondrous would be, and the world would be a dreary place. She is Tlaloc's wife, and when she was kidnapped, The Third World was doomed by his rage.

Once, long ago, a mortal man sat on top a great pillar of stone, having forsworn all things beautiful and wondrous. The Teotl were impressed, and spoke of the man highly, but Xochiquetzal became angered when one implied that he could resist all temptation. Even after frantic assurances, she descended to earth, and told the man that the Gods would welcome him into their home, but she was not strong enough to climb the pillar, and so the man descended to help her up. The moment he touched her, he lost his mind in lust and broke his vows of chastity with her immediately. For that, he was turned into a scorpion, and Xochiquetzal returned to heaven, pleased that she had proven herself.
