King before Enki, Enlil is one of the great Sky Gods of the world, looking down at the world from high above. He has a far more antagonistic relationship with humanity than his brother has, and attempted to purge them from the face of the earth when they were making too much noise for his taste, culminating in flooding the world to try to get rid of the last of them, trying to force his brother to cease interfering in his attempted purge.

The Patron God of Nippur, Enlil is one of the most distant figures in the already distant Anunna. His ire is not something to be roused, though one suspects that Great Marduk would be able to prevent a second attempt at purging humanity from the face of the world.
