The Lord of the Underworld, magician without peer in his Pantheon, and God who gave the gift of grain and edible fruits to humanity, Veles is one of the least somber Death Gods. He goes about his time watching over his lands, keeping the dead in order, and making sure all of his numerous cattle are well off.

Veles takes great joy in harassing Perun, sneaking into his house in the dead of night and seducing his wife yet again, or carrying off household items of little value just to prove to Perun that he had been there that night. Perun is obviously furious over this, though can never manage to catch Veles in the act.
