Megan is extracting DNA, taking body and wing photos, and preparing GBS libraries for our 10 focal populations for 2017 (assuming we get RNV) and for HNV and SKI for 2013 and 2014 (which we didn't prep before). The other focal populations were already extracted and sequenced for 2013 and 2015 or 2014 (RNV only for 2014, rest 2015). As usual, we are using Qiagen's DNeasy 96 Blood and Tissue kit. I am then preparing GBS libraries using our standard approach. Fragments between 300 and 450 bp were size selected on the BluePippin (this is the same range we used for the last bunch of Lycaeides data). Note, I ran two BluePippin extractions per library. Here is the BioAnalyzer report from the BluePippin extraction/purification. We then pooled both products for sets of four plates and split these between two sequencing libraries/lanes.
