Josh H. sent 48 alfalfa DNA samples. These were used in a study that evaluated the effect of individual plant variation on chemistry and larval performance (and maybe other things). I plan to generate sequence data of these samples as part of the study. The samples come from Fallon, NV ("Rag City"). He collected them and dryed them with silica on 25viii15, and extracted them on 11ix15. Samples were numbered 1:50 with 26 and 40 missing due to plant senessence.
Here are the samples as ordered in a plate (note the samples were sent in individual tubes). I ran restriction and ligation on 20xi15 with barcode plate 5-6.
I ran the PCR on 23xi15 using the standard protocol. Purification with the BluePippin (fragment range 300-450) and visualization with the BioAnalyzer was done on 2xii15. Here are the results.
50ul of the library was then sent to the UT GSAF for sequencing. Here is the job bc1093.
