Physical Activity and Sports Studies is focused on exercise prescription and skill development. Students learn how to develop physical skills and team play in order to achieve success during games and activities.
This course offers internal assessment and no external examination
NOTE: Students should not be selecting more than two PE options as part of a completed timetable. H.O.D. approval is required if students wish to take more than 2 PE courses (ie 12OE and 12PS).

This course is designed for those who enjoy being physically active and have a strong interest in learning about sport and wellbeing. This course will involve a variety of sporting and physical activity contexts to allow students to learn in, through and about movement.
In this course students will maximise learning through doing. Students will study the principles of exercise and sport through an interactive and experiential manner. Students will develop academic knowledge and skills to improve personal wellbeing and sporting performance.
Students will learn through movement and be expected to be active participants in the practical lessons, as well as theory lessons.
Your work will be assessed through both practical and written internal achievement standards.
