This course offers students to further develop and enhance their problem solving skills to create practical technology focused outcomes using materials such as metal, wood, plastics and composites.
Studetns will learn and develop general workshop skills such as how to safely use welders, power tools and workshop machinery, along with how to control and use CNC machines.
Students will incorporate their knowledge of the design process to create different projects which include:
Māori inspired gifts
Practical storage units
Scooters
Bluetooth speakers
Your work will be assessed through internals assessments, including:
Brief development
Planning for practice
Outcome development and evaluation
Technological modelling
Techonlogical systems
