There is an enormous range of career pathways in the agricultural and horticultural industry of New Zealand. This course provides valuable insight and understanding of life processes, and how they are manipulated for the purpose of food and fibre production. We examine environmental impacts of primary production, along with advanced management techniques used to optimise production.
You will learn about agricultural investigations and reproduction techniques that optimise production. You will evaluate the impacts management practices have on growth, development and product yield. You will research the impacts these practices have on the environment and investigate ways to promote sustainable farm systems.
