Learning Targets:
At the end of this learning target readers will be able to explain why it is necessary to develop relationships in Health and Pe and how those relationships can benefit them in the future.
At the end of this lesson readers will be able to name 3 ways of how Learning Health and PE can have an affect on the pandemic and how it can be a great use in the future by
Switching from in person learning to virtual learning.
Developing relationships for future use.
Having an physical connection to their future lives and how it can be a great impact for their health.
Introduction: Learning Health and Pe has changed since March of 2020. All school systems had to switch from in person learning to virtual learning not knowing that COVID-19 would still be here a year later. Even a few teachers said that, "P.E. has been one of the most challenging subjects to teach online" (Jones 2020). In my conversation with my interviewee down below, Tylen even said that he does not like Learning Health and PE virtually and I'm sure many other teachers and other students can testify to the same problem as well. Last year and this year is still hard to digest because virtual learning may still be harder for other people to learn. Even while students and teachers were still in school many students developed healthy relationships and they are learning about fitness that could beneficial for them in their future.

Response #5:
The depths of Physical Education and Health administered in schools.
When I was in middle school, I always thought Health and PE was about getting fit and playing with my friends. Well it is actually the total opposite of that. Health and PE is where students can develop relationships with one another, which leads to the constructivist approaches and features (Barker, Queenerstedt, & Annerstedt 2015) within a classroom. By learning the approaches that are resulted in Health and PE, healthy and active lifestyles (Harris 2014) also come into play as well. However, Since children are learning online it is harder for them as students to gain the proper knowledge needed for Health and PE virtually. Students are not learning the proper way of PE and Health which could possibly stop their motive and interest in the future.
Takeaways:
1st Takeaway: I asked my interviewee, How is it like learning about Health and PE virtual?. Tylen responded with, "I do not like it at all. I like my teacher, but I don't like to just to take tests about health only" (T. Lawson, Personal communication, January 30, 2021). This response shows how he thinks virtual learning is from his perspective and that is a takeaway for all students stating that virtual learning has its difficulties and hardship as it is taught online.
2nd Takeaway: I asked my interviewee, Do you feel like you're developing relationships between your other classmates and teacher in health and PE? Tylen responded with, "Yes, I have made a lot of friends in health and PE. I actually made the most friends there just by playing basketball" (T. Lawson, Personal communication, January 30, 2021). This response shows how connections are formed during an activity in which the students can participate in and possibly use in the future. This takeaway is that communication plays a major role in health and PE because it shows how students are breaking out of their comfort zone.
3rd Takeaway: I asked my interviewee, Do you believe secondary education is preparing you for fitness in your future? My interviewee responded with, "Yes, taking the mile test is stressful and so long" (T. Lawson, Personal communication, January 30, 2021). This response shows how Tylen sees that the mile test is preparing him physically, emotionally, and mentally. Physically because it helps with your health. Mentally because it gets in your mind that its can be tiring to slow down and emotionally because you may feel like a you're not reaching your goal fast enough.
Interviewee:
My interviewee is Tylen Lawson, a six grader from Southampton Middle School. He is now currently learning Health & PE virtually and he does not like it at all. He kindly responded to my questions with his best opinion. He loves Learning about Health & PE but not virtually and he said that it is the worst thing ever.
Overall, Health and PE is stressful for those students and teachers who are learning virtually at home and many require that in person learning over virtual learning any day. Tylen responses are well related with these sources because it shows how he thinks how he is emotionally, physically, and mentally connecting with Health and PE whether it is taught online or in person. Having these approaches shows how students are constructing relationships and using these relationships to better themselves and their future fitness.
