Who am I...
Modest and shy, I don't like to talk about myself at times but I will give this a try:
I’m just a girl who comes from a normal family
Who allowed me to be who I wanted to be.
They fostered an environment to let me grow and I found what I wanted to do on my own.
From the start, the spark that pushed me to teach was my experience in VTFT and my 2 nephews.
And as I got older I knew that developing children’s minds was what I wanted to do.
So I took some time to find a career path that would do just that.
I rejected teaching at first, not understanding it’s worth
But I found myself wanting to give it a shot, with all I got.
Now I'm only halfway there but I know I will get to where,
I want to be eventually
What I know
I always feel as though I don’t know enough
So rather share what I know I will tell you what I understand and the room there is for me to grow.
I understand how to view the world with an open mind, history and art are favorites of mine. I understand that cultures are diverse and that everyone’s perspectives are different.
I’ve experienced being a kid with freedom and fun
And an adult when getting work done.
I understand what it is like to be a student under pressure, and some of what a teacher has to endavor.
Me with my wonderful VTFT class!
What I have to learn
I’ll start with finishing learning ASL so I can communicate to all of my students well.
Then I must learn to not be too lenient to misbehavior so my students' respect for me won’t start to waiver.
How to be confident in my speech so I won’t sound weak
WIth me being able to speak up for myself it will trickle down to me defending my students when things get tough. Also staying in contact with others is a must
And last is to pull out the best potential from my students and encourage them that they can do it.
