Who am I?
Hi my name is Samantha Wollmuth and I am a sophmore at ODU. My birthday is August 8th 2001 making me 19 years old! I am from northern Virginia and was born and raised there. I am the second oldest of four kids with me and my siblings all being very close in age. I am going to ODU in hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher, and cant wait to see what this class has in store for me.

This is a hard question for me to answer because on certain days I feel as though I know a lot and other days, nothing at all. But I am going to lay out things that I know for certain about working in the classroom environment.

- Coming to school each day can be harder for some students than others
- Students all have different learning styles and learn at different paces
- Online school can be either the best or worst thing for students
- If you want to succeed in the classroom you have to be open to help from teachers and or other helpers

Learning new things is a big point of life. There are many new things that I need to learn in life to succeed. I want to learn how to successfully run a classroom without any help. I also want to learn how to be the best teacher that I can possibly be and to do that I need to learn through others.

Hi Samantha! I love that quote above! It's definitely an eye opener! I also agree that virtual learning is either the best thing or the worst thing. I have seen some students in my child's class have problems with virtual learning, but I have also seen other students in the class flourish. My child loves virtual learning, but she also wants to go back to school. I am glad that she adapted, but I do feel bad for the students who can't adapt and need that social setting. I also agree that to become a great teacher, you need to have an open mind and to ask for help! Your page looks great and I hope you have a great semester!-Michelle Jamison
