KEIONNA ELLIS
KEIONNA ELLIS
Hello, my name is Keionna Ellis. I am a 19 years old and I am currently a sophomore attending Old Dominion University. I am Majoring in Early Childhood Education with hope to work with young children in the near future. I have a passion for working with babies and young children, and I hope to own my own child center someday. I have not put much thought into being a teacher untill now. Although I could picture myself being a kindergarten or pre-K teacher.
I know that I have:
good leadership skills
good communication skills with all age groups
I still have a lot to learn. I am looking forward to learning what it takes to be a teacher and how to be a great teacher. I have a lot to learn from Dr.Kidd as well as future professors and courses to come. I am also looking forward to expanding my communication skills with children and adults.
THE TEACHER I WILL BECOME
I will become an extraordinary teacher or leader per say. I have always had a passion of working with young children, specifically babies and toddlers. I once had a dream of becoming a pediatrician and joining the medical field. However, after my first year of college, I had a change in plans and decided to change my major. I've changed my major to Early Childhood Education, with hopes of still being able to work with young children. I would even like to own my own childcare center one day.
I will be a caring, loving, supportive, understanding, and hard working teacher/ leader. I hope this course as well as the observation will help prepare me for a successful future. I as hope the course will help me decided if I want to become a teacher or lead me to a new career.
