On June 6th a little girl was borned named Shakia Mosley. Since I was a little girl I have always wanted to teach Kindergarten. I'm the youngest in my family. I'm from Warrenton, VA and I have lived my whole life. I plan to one day teach at the elementary school I went too.
In May of 2020 I graduated from Lord Fairfax Community College with my Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. I came to Old Dominion to finish my education. My major is in Early Childhood Education and one day I hope to teach Kindergarten.
One thing, some students learn more with teachers who take their time to get to know them and who also adjust their lessons to fit their students. When I was teaching at a daycare I would ask the children questions about themselves. If they had any learning problems I would help them understand the lesson better.
Building a classroom community is important to have in your classroom. There are a bunch of different ways that you can do it by commenting on a t-shirt a student is wearing or ask them about their favorite bands or music artist.
The teacher should respect the parents who value education and understand where their child is academically and support. You should also remember that teachers are creative and original. No two teachers do the exact same thing.
I want to have the ability to make a real difference in the lives of the children they will one day teach. Each day that you work with the student, I want to have to potential to make a lasting impression on them. I want the children to remember something positive that I taught them in classroom and that the lessons that they stick in their minds and impact our viewpoints for years to come.
When I start teaching I would absolutely love the subjects that I will teach; It will make the class more enjoyable. I want to get my students excited about the topics so that I can share my love of learning and to also get to delve into new topics so that I can also learn right along with the children. As emerging technologies and instructional methods are introduced, and historic events can unfold in real-time.
You'll always be learning something new.

Hi Shakia! I had never heard of the phrase "classroom Community" but I love it. I totally agree bonds need to be created in the classroom between the students and teacher, and students and other students. I also totally agree that I hope to have a lasting impression on my students. -Chloe Hulls
