CLUE 004: THE TEACHER I WILL BECOME
The relationship between my students and I may best be described as:
A SHEPHERD AND HIS SHEEP
As a future English teacher, I understand that not all students connect with the subject. It's going to take more effort from me to guide my students through the world of literature. I strongly believe in a student-centered classroom with myself as a mentor to them. I hope to allow my students the ability to express themselves and connect to the topics we will discuss. I am more concerned with my civic duty as a teacher than my professional duty. I want my students to leave the classroom with a lesson they can carry with them throughout life. If one were to enter my classroom, they will find me engaging with my students and promoting open discussion. I am especially fond of classic literature, but willing to explore modern readings as well. I would follow approaches in Existentialism and Progressivism by allowing students to work together to shape their understanding of the world around them. Most importantly, I hope that my students can seek comfort in my classroom and trust their concerns onto me.
You solved the case! Great job! The detective was impressed by your work and has offered you a position as her assistant. Fill out the application below if you're interested (leave a comment).
Wow! I have to say, your page is spectacular! Very creative and great use of technology! I think I might need you to tutor me in using technology, I'm afraid I'm a little behind the times! Great job! - Dina Buczkowski
This is absolutely incredible! I agree with Dana, I'm definitely not the most comfortable with technology, but you definitely have it down! This concept is so unique, I am just amazed!! - Alicia Lucy
Please accept my application for the position of assistant detective. I am afraid I have no prior experience, but I'm eager to learn, especially from such a creative and talented teacher! - a Kidd ;-)
This is such a creative page! I loved how you thought outside of the box and put your own twist on the assignment. Please teach me how you did everything!(: -Annie Tulensru
I adore the set up of your page! SO fun and creative. I can just tell by the way you set up this assignment, you are going to be a very engaging teacher in the classroom as well. -Savannah Reed
I love the interaction with your page! You've got a hand on technology for future lessons with your students. I agree with you entirely on making school safe for children. The learning environment should be nurturing for children to express themselves while also learning from one another safely. English is a necessary subject for children and adolescents when it comes to reading and writing (especially grammar). If you're able to make A Tale of Two Cities and other classic novels interesting for students, then you will be teacher of the century!- Desiree Tomasi
I love this set up! I'm a huge fan of mysteries and the little kid in me is so amazed at this! I can see that your students will be thoroughly engaged in the classroom and there will never be a dull moment! - Samantha Lewis
