Lockwood school held a blood drive Thursday, October 27, 2022. The blood drive was held in The CTE Gym from 8:30-12. Kathy from Vitalant contacted the school to see if the school wanted to hold the blood drive. There were fourteen students who showed up and tried to donate their blood. They had to turn down four students. The reasons are that they had one missed vein, and the other three did not meet Vitalant regulations. The regulations were that they had to be 16+ and over a certain height weight. Students at Lockwood school donated 10 liters of blood. Vitalant provided snacks for the students. There will be a blood drive later this year, and the seniors that donated will receive a cord for graduation. All they have to do is attempt to donate, actually donate blood, or help run it.
