Gianna Cepeda is a sophomore at Lockwood High School. This is her first year here because she has moved since she was two years old. She was born on June 4th, 2005, in Colorado Springs. She lives with her stepmom and her dad. However, she has four siblings and a mom within her family. If she had to choose her favorite place that she has lived in, it would be where most of her family is from and where they are in Sacramento, California. She has had a hard life with most of her family having drug use issues and friends that she couldn't trust. This has made it hard for her to trust people fully. However, at Lockwood, she has found people she can confide in. Getting back into the run of things after being away for a few months is hard for her. However, the choir room has become a safe place for her, as even on her darkest day, she can always sing it out. In an interview with her, she started a quote by Muhammad Ali: "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." The rest of the quote is as follows, "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. His hands can't hit what his eyes can't see. Now you see me, now you don't." Gianna hopes to go to college to become a veterinarian for Exotic animals. She has wanted to be that for as long as she can remember. She also wants a family, but she doesn't have it thoroughly planned out.
