Klasna welcomed the students in and had them sit in their assigned seats by class. The golf team just did their walk of pride for all of them going to state. Erickson was the one who started the "Be Lockwood" chant with the students after Klansa had given him the mic. Hailey Barta, the Vice-president of the student council from last year, was the next on the mic. She had continued the BE Lockwood where she would say be, and the students would say, Lockwood. She then handed it off to Ashley Sherrodd, who talked about the band and her time within it. Hailey got the mic back, and she announced the Lockwood Varsity and JV Cheerleaders. They danced to the song “Freaks” and did three of their dances and two stunts. Pauncheau has finally returned with the flag. Last year we sent him away to serve our country. The flag was signed by many of the people Mr. Pauncheau had met around the world. Once done with that, each fall team was recognized, and each coach got the chance to talk. Many of the seniors got to talk; however, they all just said, “GO Lockwood.” Next were nominees for the homecoming royalty, which was quickly followed by the spirit stick, which of course, the senior class (the best class) won. Basketball was the following event, a game of the classes, where two random people from each class could shoot from the half-court, but no one made it. Klasna then released the seniors first while the cheerleaders danced while the band played the school song.
