Braden Marum

Braden Marum is an Earth and Space Science teacher at Lockwood High School for freshmen. Marum was born in Seattle, Washington, and moved to Montana when he was in fourth grade. He grew up in Miles City, Montana and last summer moved to Billings. Marum went to Custer County District High School and went to MSU-Bozeman for college. He became a science teacher because it’s something he’s always enjoyed. Mr. Marum wanted the opportunity to show other people and students how enjoyable and cool science can be. “I think the high school is great and all the kids are awesome,” he said.
He has two siblings, his sister Ashlyn, who is in her second year of college, and his little brother Cooper, in eighth grade. Mr. Marum has been to Australia, and he said, “It was pretty cool, I got to hang out with kangaroos and wallabies.” If he could travel anywhere he wanted, he would like to do a safari in Africa. Although his favorite animal outside of the United States is penguins, he would never go to Antarctica.
