Lockwood hosted their first high school cross country meet this past Saturday. Even though the course was very difficult, the teams and athletes all finished hard. The course was talked about all day as being the most challenging course around. By the end of the day, 700 runners finished the course. While in Shepherd, Tailey Harris received a ribbon for being 10th place overall running in the varsity girl's division. The boy's varsity team took 4th. Garret Kelly record and Kenny Specht ran 19:28, which is a personal record. This is the first year of a varsity team for Lockwood. They have been to four cross country meets, their first meet was in Hardin. Tailey made Lockwood history by being the First Lady cross country runner to cross the finish line.
