Carrie Schmidt, Study Hall
by Hayden McKinney
Mrs. Carri Schmidt is a teacher that helps with credit recovery, study hall, and she supervises the REFOCUS program at Lockwood High School. She chose to be involved in education because she enjoys working with children and wants to help them be better prepared for their futures. She went to Rocky Mountain College where she graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in education.
She has been married to her husband, Keith Schmidt, for 19 years. He works in part sales for modern machinery. Mrs. Schmidt also has an 11 year old daughter that's in 6th grade here at Lockwood Middle School. Mrs. Schmidt enjoys spending time with her family, no matter what they're doing. Whether it's riding in their Jeep on trails or spending time at home. She's also a volunteer in Lockwood's Humble B's program.
She loves working at Lockwood, greatly enjoys helping the kids, and thinks that the staff is amazing. She appreciates that the staff's focus is on the children.
