With over four hundred years of experience, William Shakespeare is Lockwood High School’s longest-tenured teacher. He teaches Greek and Roman Mythology and Elizabethan English History, serves as the head of the drama department and is an assistant speech and debate coach.
Before coming to Lockwood, Mr. Shakespeare was a successful actor and playwright with the Globe Theater in London, England. When he was much younger, Shakespeare attended Stratford grammar school, a one-room schoolhouse located in Stratford-upon-Avon, where he learned reading, writing and Latin. Although he did not play any sports, he was a fan of soccer.
When he is not teaching or coaching, Mr. Shakespeare enjoys spending time with his wife, Anne Hathaway, and their two children, Susanna and Judith. His hobbies include reading, writing and making gloves.
