The Lockwood play “Almost History: The Whole Space-time Continuum Thing” took place on January 16th and 17th at 6:30 pm. This play is about a reporter and a sidekick that livestream the most significant moments in American history. When the sidekick tries to keep the reporter on track, they mess up every part of history and try to put it back together with help from middle school teachers and the reporter's fan club.
The play was directed by Lockwood senior Gwynivere Cusak and assisted by her mother, Jen Cusak. This play is the very first one that is student-led. When asked about being a student director, Gwyn said, "It was a really fun experience, and I'm glad I got to do that for Mr. Staton. We really pulled through as a team, and we had a lot of fun, and I'm happy that we were able to make it happen."
Hailey Barta was the head of costumes, which means she ensured that everyone had all their outfits for their scenes. The props organizer was Lily Conklin, and like the head of costumes, the prop organizer makes all the props and makes sure we have all props we need for every scene. Most of these props were handmade by the cast of this play.
With the cast list being too small, the Theater 2 class recruited outside help to assist in running the show, so thanks to Furious Lee, Gaige Clark, Rei Kepa, Issac Rauch, Layla Serrano, Harper Phelps, Morgan Phelps, Jerrie Phelps, Kyler Williams, Tobin Novasio, Gordon Klasna, Rob DiGiallonardo, Dana Grob, and Cari Larson for helping run this show and being our tech crew.
