The “School Grounds” coffee shop is up and running for the 2021-2022 school year. Maddie Lafranier is seventeen years old and in eleventh grade. She wanted to become the manager because she thought there wasn’t much structure and the shop could use a strong leader. She talked to the shop’s advisor, Mrs. Koss, who agreed that having a manager would be good idea and that Maddie would be the perfect person to fill the role.
The shop opens at 7:30 a.m. and closes approximately fifteen minutes before classes start at 9:00 a.m. Since Christmas is coming up they will be having Christmas drinks. For starters the will offer an egg nog latte, which is very popular, along with a peppermint mocha frappuccino. If you are running late, they also have a website that you can use to put in an online order, so you can order a drink on your way to school and pick it up when you get there. There are usually 2-3 students working in the shop each day. They make all the drinks and get to split any tips they receive at the end of their shift, so make sure you support your “School Grounds” and don’t forget to tip!
