The Swingin Fortes, Lockwood's first-ever show choir group, made their first appearance at the Middle school and High school Winter Concert. They opened the show with a song by Mac Huff titled "We Need a Little Christmas." Mr. Staton, who is in charge of the group, had a freshly married daughter, Skyy Haman, come in to do the choreography for the group. Sixth group followed with "Go Tell It on the Mountain," arranged by Joyce Bathelson. They sang two other pieces, "Fall Snow" by Mark Burrows and "A Winter Blast," arranged by Greg Gilpin. The 7th's songs all had Christmas somewhere in it, the first being "Sing We Now of Christmas," arranged by Make Hayes, followed by "Where You Christmas" from the Movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas. They performed it with two solos by Brylee Good And Kisten Logan. Their last and final solo songs were "Rock And Roll Christmas" by Jill Gallina.
The 8th graders also had some duets. The first was Jayden Nichold and Kaiden Erickson in a piece arranged by Hawley Ades, titled "Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let It Snow!" The other duet was "In Warmth and Light", by Audrey Snyder, which Hannah Adams and Brooke Rose did. The 8th graders ended their selection with "Jingle Bells," arranged by Audrey Snyder. The high school or Concert Choir did two pieces by John Rutter; the first was "Banquet Fugue" with a burp by Austin Therriault at the end of the song. The other piece by John Rutter titled "Candlelight Carol", was quite a different pace than Banquet Fugue; it was slow and graceful. The high schoolers ended their selection with "Hodie" by Jacob Narverud. All the choir joined together on stage to finish out the show with "A Bit of Holiday Cheer" arranged by Teena Chin. Good job to everyone who performed or helped out with the concert, and good luck moving forward with the high school concert on the 17th of December.
