The Lockwood Lions Varsity Football Team played their first-ever homecoming football game. They played on Saturday, October 1st. They played against Fergus High School. Fergus is the #5 seed in the division. The Lockwood Lions Football Team lost the game 45 to 0. The halftime for the football game was used to announce the homecoming queen, king, prince, and princess. The homecoming king was given to Tyce Casterline, and the princess was given to Allison Hall. For the king it was given to Austin Bonebright, Finally, Queen was given to Gywnivere Cusak.
Coach DiGiallonardo said this about the game “Fergus is a very good football team. I am proud of the way the boys played hard the entire game and never gave up. It is a major bummer to lose the first homecoming game in school history. We will continue to work hard and get better every day.”
The Lockwood Lions varsity football team's next game is Friday, October 7. They will Be playing on the road against the Havre High School football who is the #13 seed. The next home game was going to be on Friday the 14, however, was moved to the 15th. The game is against the Hardin Bulldog. This is also going to be the first-ever Senior night for the football team.
