The Lockwood girls and boys' basketball team had their first game in Miles City on Saturday, December 11th. The froshmore girls played at noon, and the varsity girls played at 3:00 pm. The freshmen boys played at noon, the JV boys played at 1:30 pm, and the varsity boys played at 4:30 pm. The froshmore girls had lost their game against Miles City, and the freshmen boys went into overtime and lost by just a couple of points. However, all the other teams lost, but they all played hard till the end of the game. They were all kind of nervous because it was the first varsity game in Lockwood history. "For our first varsity game we all kept up very well," said LHS sophomore Keeley Eleazer.
Their next game will be away against Huntley Project on Thursday, December 16th. The first home game is on Monday, December 20th, against Hardin. Hardin is a very hard-working team, and they know how to play together as a team. Lockwood is going to have a battle, but they will be able to compete with them. We are all looking forward to the rest of the season. There may be some tough losses, but they know how to compete and play hard throughout the game, and the wins will come.
