Mike Spence is one of the Physical Education teachers here at Lockwood High School. He runs both P.E. and health classes. Students spend four days in P.E. and four days in health, except on Wednesday when they do W.O.W., which stands for Workout Wednesdays. Every week students learn a different activity; some examples are basketball, football, and ultimate frisbee.
In health class, Mr. Spence covers topics like maintaining a diet and eating healthy. He also has a weights class, where he teaches kids how to lift weights and do it the proper way.
Many kids enjoy Mr. Spence's classes because he is so fun to be around, and he always lightens the mood. He also notices when you're down, and no matter who you are, he will sit with you and talk it out.
