In the past, the student council had people write an essay to join the club, and there were only four portions, including President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. This year the club has decided to do elections with four portions for each grade and four more seniors who will be in charge of the student council. So that means that the freshman had a chance to have all four positions that ones that were filled are, The President, Hannah Adams, will be helped with their duties by the Freshman Vice-President, Kona Fandrich. The last position that the freshman had filled was the freshman Treasurer who will be Ethan Baasch this year. The sophomores have one of the lowest positions filled this year; it will include President Emily Brandenburg and Secretary Brianna Robinson.
The Junior Class is the only class that will have someone in all the positions. President will be Hailey Barta, who was the vice president of the whole student council last year. Ian Plutt will be filling the role of Vice-President this year. Secretary will be done by Emilee Shults and Treasurer Jordyn Bergstad. The Senior officers for this year include last year's President, Gwyn Cuask, who will be taking her role as the Senior class President. The vice president will be Lily Conklin, who joined the student council last year.
Finally, we get to the seniors who took on the big responsibility of being in charge of the whole student body. This includes Treasurer Pierce Dotson, who was in the same position as last year; Secretary will be done by Rei Dylan Kepa. Austin Therriault, who was Secretary last, will be the Vice-President. This year, the President position from Gwyn will be Brady Schug.
Of course, not everyone in the student council is an officer; they include Senior Ashley Sherrodd, and Junior, Cyliegh Kelly. The advisors for this year include Lisa Skov, the Spanish teacher in the high school. Mrs. Schmidt, the other 1st-year advisor for this year, said this about the upcoming council, “I am excited to work with all the new and existing members! I have heard a lot of fun ideas and hope to do what I can to help this group make their ideas come to life for the school and the community.”
