< Léprase Witch >

I read an interesting book with the title ‘Léprase Witch’ recently. It has a dark red cover with a capital letter X on it, which makes it look more mysterious and special than other books from the bookstore. It caught my heart just by one glance.

‘Léprase Witch’ is about a mysterious case involving two characters' death at the onsen. I am impressed by the author as he presents the whole story in different characters’ views in the story. Sometimes I feel like I am one of them too.

Reading the novel, I can easily imagine the scenes. How did the character die? Who did he meet? Why was he killed? Questions keep popping out from my head. All I can say is that words can be magical. They play around your heart, making the storyline thrilling, frightening, and also making you giggle sometimes. I still remember the scene when a girl and her mother accidentally ran into a typhoon. To protect the little girl, the mother immediately pushed her into a house and hid her under a table. Unfortunately, she could not save herself. Before she died, she smiled and said, ‘At least you’re alive.’ I could not stop sobbing when reading that paragraph.

The author conveys a lot of moral values through the story. For example, we have to strive to seek the truth. I have learned it from the character when he was not afraid to risk his life to investigate for the truth behind the incident. It has inspired me very much. I have also learned extra knowledge from this novel. For example, the murderer used physical principles to kill people and disguised it as an accident.

In conclusion, the way the novel was written, the words used, the unexpected plot twist, and the characters who seem super realistic are all so attractive to me. The fictional world created by this author is remarkable. I can assure you that it is one of the best detective novels to read. I strongly recommend the book to you who are also interested in this type of novel.
