What have we been up to this term?

We have had a super fun but busy term in Primary 6! We have all been learning so much across all areas of the curriculum!

Nice Weather!

In Primary 6 we have been making the most of the good weather we had during the lat summer/early autumn months!

This meant we could get outside to play game such as rounders and dodge ball!

Art - Pop Art

Our first Art Topic for this year involved Pop Art! We looked at artists like Andy Warhol and David Hockney and made our own pop art pieces using our favourite cartoon characters!

Buddy time!

Primary 6 spent some time with their buddy class p3/4 during book week to read some books, play some games and come up with some stories of their own!

Rememberance Day Activities @ St Machar Cathedral

Primary 6 took a trip to St Machar Cathedral to take part in some rememberance day activities which had been set up for the children.

It was a bit of a long walk but the children all seemed to enjoy their visit and got entirely stuck in with the activites and enjoyed spending time with the P6s from the class next door!

IDL - Interdiciplinary Learning

Primary 6 have been learning all about CO2 and Carbon Capture Storage this term as a part of their topic for this term.

We have explored the properties of CO2 and are beginning to explore how the children are able to understand the concept of Carbon Capture and what this would mean for the planet!

All the children have been very engaged and enjoyed the topic so far!

This is some pictures from the children experimenting with the density of CO2 against other substances - this was done by making laval lamps in pairs!

This was done using only:
