Miss Davidson
Open Day 12th June 2023
Today we had our final open day of the year. We had so much fun sharing our learning on Jack and the beanstalk with parents, grandparents and buddies. We created bar graphs, made wanted posters for Jack, planted our own beanstalks and made some beanstalk art.
This term we have been learning al about Scottish Mythical Creatures. As part of our context we were allowed to choose our own to explore. We choose Mythical creatures because we have really enjoyed learning about Nessie over the year. Here is the powerpoint to show all that we have learnt.
Monday 29th May Jack and the Beanstalk
Today we came into a surprise in our classroom a Beanstalk had grown over the weekend. We have begun using the story Jack and the Beanstalk for our writing. We thought about our favourite parts of the story and wrote about how the beanstalk grew.
Sports Day 2023
We had so much fun at sports day this year. Well done P2/3
Role Play Fun Fair 12.5.23
This term to help us practice using money we made a fun fair. We had to go around the stations and pay to do the activity. We even did this practicing giving change. Well done P2/3!
WOW Month May 2023
This month we have been learning all about the people who help us and different jobs for when we are older. We got to meet dome firemen, a vet, a doctor and some engineers. We learnt so much.
20th March 2023
Today we learnt about the jobs people in castles had. We went outside to create ur own castles and reenact what life in the castle was like.
17.03.23 Red Nose Day
Today for Red Nose Day we came into School with lots of super crazy hair!
16.3.23
This week in PE we have been practsing our Tennis movment. We have been learning about making sure we are moving our arms when we are going for the ball. We used beanbags and rackets to practise trying to follow the ball. We have had so much fun learning new skills.
15.3.22 Outdoor Maths
This week we went outside to explore m and cm. We practised our jumping skills while trying to jump 1m and 1/2 a m. We also went to the Willow Den for a scavenger hunt we had to find lots of things that were small enough to measure with a ruler.
World Book Day
For World Book day we dressed u in our pyjamas and went to a Booknic with Primary 2. We had so much fun lietning to a story with some snacks!
7.2.23 Climates
Today we learnt abut different climates in our world and thought about the animals that lived there. We looked at the Polar climate and used the chrome books to help us research the animals that lived there. We found out lots of new information including where the different animals sleep.
3.02.23 Space
This term we ave been learning all about Space. Today we took part in a Live Lesson to learn all about being astronaught. We had so much fun learning about gravity and what astronaughts do in space.
Scotland
Since the start of term we have been super busy learning all about Scotland. Here is our wall display of all the learning we have been doing.
We created some Nessie art using different colours and patterns.
We made new verses for the story The Wee Lassie Who Swallowed a Midgie.
We also made a diary entry for what it would be like if we were to see Nessie.
We also made our own Neep and Tattie Pictures after listening to the story Neeps and Tatties.
18.01.23
We made a picture of space. We made an astronaut, the moon, the earth and we flicked the paint to make stars. Stars are made out of gas. We also learnt all about Neil armstrong.

Today in P2/3 we worked with P2 to create our own version of Santa's sleighs using Lego we had so much fun working together. Well done P2/3 and P2.
19.12.22
Today in P2/3 we read the story the Elf Chase. We then went on an elf hunt to find the elves hidden around the classroom. We then created our own clues to find the elves. We made sure that the clues we made had lots of detail and information.
30.11.22
Today we watched to start of the Polar Express, we then wrote our own diary entries as if we were the boy waking up to a train outside our windows. Miss Davidson was so proud of our writing.
21.11.22 Shape Hunt
Today P2/3 went on an outdoor shape hunt we were looking for lots of different 3D shapes. Miss Davidson set us a challenge to find lots of cylinders. We realised that even a tree is a cylinder.
Buddy session 4.11.22
Today with our P5 buddies we told them all about our Tiger Who came to Tea story maps and our writing.

Open Day 2022
We had so much fun last Wednesday when our families and buddies came into the class. We taught them all about our reading strategies. We used our predicting Parrot to think about what Paddington might do next. Our link maker Lion helped us to share how we would care for a bear. We also created Paddington Collages.
Phonics with P2 27.09.22
On Thursday we worked together with Primary 2 to go on a Phonics hunt. We were looking for lots of 'qu' 'ck' and magic e words. We had so much fun. Well done P2/3!
14.09.22 Drumming
Today we got to do some drumming. We had so much fun. We even got to play to some of our favourite songs.
Gardening 25.08.22
Today we started working on our Garden. We took out lots of weeds and trimmed the grass to help our plants grow. Well done P2/3!
