Interdisciplinary Learning

Last term we trialled a new way of teaching our Contexts and introduced the pupils to Big Questions. Each class chose 3-5 Big Questions to answer over the course of Term 2 linked to the theme, Tomorrows World. Staff and pupils have now evaluated Term 2 and have made plans for Term 3. We look forward to sharing our IDL journey with you all.
P7 have been reflecting on the learning in their class this term and thinking about the skills they have been focusing on. Next term they will be looking at ways to link their next steps to the skills they have been learning.
P2/3 M have collected evidence of their project and shared it on a PowerPoint. It was wonderful to read what the pupils had to say about their learning.
We aim to have progressive and cohesive curriculum pathways across the whole school from nursery to P7. Our generic themes give us the opportunity to explore learning across all stages whilst allowing individual classes personalisation and choice to approach each theme according to their interests and ideas.
