Connecting Classrooms Afternoon - 21/05/21

We connected with the other classes through Google Meet. Each class researched a different country and the Child rights. We had to do research about Ivory Coast which is in West Africa. Some of the rights we looked at was the right to education because 1 in 4 children don't go to school. We found out that they are building schools from plastic bricks made from plastic from pollution around the country. Another right we looked at was the right to food and water as a lot of the population does not have access to clean water. After we done our research we created a class poster that includes the rights and why we chose them, pictures and facts about the Ivory Coast.

Understanding the Emotion Works 5 cog model

04.09.20

Today Primary 5 looked at the Emotion Works 5 cog model as a whole. We watched a music video and unpicked the emotional trigger, inferred body sensations and feelings, looked at behaviours and brain stormed advice. After we created cartoon strips relating to the 5 cog model to retell real or imaginary stories.

Ask us - What do the cogs represent? How does the model work in real life?
