Tisiphone was born in 1202 BC in Argos (later Amphilochian Argos) in Acarnania.

Tisiphone's father was Alcmaeon, son of Amphiaraus. [Apo.3.7.7]

Tisiphone's mother was Manto (or Daphne), daughter of Tiresias. [Apo.3.7.7]
