< Kydragora, daughter of Atreus >
1 Origin
Kydragora was born in Midea, Argolis, in 1257 BC.
Kydragora's father was Atreus, son of Pelops. [FGrH.Nr333.F180]
2 Family
Kydragora is presumed to have married her half-brother Pleisthenes.
The basis for this presumption is the following two legends:
1) The mother of Pylades, son of Strophius, son of Crisus, was Anaxibia, sister of Agamemnon. [Paus.2.29.4]
2) Pylades' mother was Anaxibia, daughter of Kydragora, daughter of Atreus, who was Agamemnon's sister. [FGrH.Nr333.F180]
Agamemnon was the son of Pleisthenes and Aerope. [Apo.3.2.2]
Agamemnon, son of Aerope, could only be the brother of Anaxibia, daughter of Kydragora, if Pleisthenes was their common father.
Kydragora had a daughter, Anaxibia. [FGrH.Nr333.F180]
