< Alxion, son of Leucippus >

1 Origin

Alxion was born in Heraea, Arcadia, in 1385 BC.

2 Family

Alxion had a son named Oenomaus, who became ruler of Pisa. [Paus.5.1.6]

Oenomaus' mother was Harpina, and Alxion's wife was probably Harpina. [Diod.4.73.1-2]

Alxion is presumed to be the great-grandson of Heraeus, son of Lycaon, founder of Heraea.

Heraeeus had a son named Oenomaus, who is often confused with Oenomaus, the son of Alxion. [Hyginus.159]

Alxion's father is probably Leucippus, the son of Oenomaus, the son of Heraeeus. [Paus.8.20.2]
