3.1 Migration to southern Eleia

3.2 Migration to Argos
In 1290 BC, Mantius migrated to Argos accompanied by his father. [Apo.2.2.2, Diod.4.68.4, Paus.2.18.4, Herod.9.34]
3.3 Exile to Calydon
In 1264 BC, Mantius was banished from Argos by his brother Abas and moved to Calydon to live with Oeneus. [See Abas, son of Melampus]
Oeneus' mother Aeolia was Mantius' aunt, and Oeneus was Mantius' cousin. [Apo.1.7.7]
3.4 Return to Argos
In 1247 BC, Mantius returned to Argos from Aetolia with his sons. [See Abas, son of Melampus]
Mantius banished his brother Abas, who had banished them, his sons, and the sons of Talaus, who had cooperated with Abas, from Argos.
