Thelxion was born in Aegialeia (later Sicyon) in 1700 BC.

Thelxion's father is believed to be Telchin (or Telchis, Telches), the third king of Sicyon. [Estimated from Apo.2.1.1]

Thelxion was the fifth king of Sicyon.

Thelxion, together with Telchin, killed Apis, the third king of Argos, who ruled Sicyon. [Apo.2.1.1]
