< Aloeus, son of Sisyphus >
1 Origin
Aloeus was born in Ephyraea (later Corinth) in 1425 BC.
1.1 Aloeus' father
Pausanias reports that Helius gave Asopia to Aloeus and Ephyraea to Aeetes. [Paus.2.3.10]
Asopia was later Sicyon, and Ephyraea was later Corinth. [Paus.2.1.1]
In other words, Helius ruled over both Asopia and Ephyraea.
The founder of Corinth was Sisyphus, son of Aeolus. [Apo.1.9.3]
Aeetes' daughter's husband Phrixus was the son of Sisyphus' brother Athamas. [Apo.1.7.3, Apo.1.9.1]
Therefore, it is considered that Helius, i.e. the father of Aloeus, was Sisyphus, son of Aeolus.
2 Family
Aloeus married Aeolus' daughter Canace. [Apo.1.7.4, Paus.2.1.1]
Aloeus and Canace had five sons: Hopleus, Nireus, Epopeus, Aloeus, and Triops. [Apo.1.7.4, Paus.2.1.1]
Aloeus also supposedly had a daughter named Ascra. [See Ascra]
